Description:Sodium chlorate is clear colorless liquid in water solution.The melting point is 248-261 °C(lit.).It is water soluble .It is stable but incompatible with strong reducing agents, organic materials, alcohols. It is noncombustible but can accelerate the burning of surrounding combustible materials.It may cause fires or explosions when contacted with strong sulfuric acid.It can be used to bleach pulp and synthesize chemicals, as well as make herbicides.
